Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets, Secrets
Secrets are listed by area. Pressing 'escape' in game will show you the menu screen, and show you the number of secrets
in the area you are in in the top right corner. After each secret location is a list of the spells needed to reach the
secret area, in the order they are needed. Each area is ordered and split by how far through the game the secrets can be
uncovered. Any secrets which come after a challenge in the list cannot be fully explored until you've passed that challenge.
Entrance Hall Area - 12 secrets
1. Stand on the button revealed by moving the statue of a man by the Scurge Challenge. Reached by Flipendo.
2. Behind a painting in the passageway leading to the Great Hall, which is on the right when facing the bottom of
the main stairs. Reached by Alohomora.
3. Behind the mirror in the left hand corridor from the top of the main stairs. Reached by Alohomora.
Scurge Challenge
4. In the dungeons, first archway on the right past the two suits of armour. Then through the floor at end of the
room and past the fence above. Reached by Alohomora, Lumos, Scurge.
5. In the Potions classroom, which is through the first passage on the left on entering the dungeons. Beneath the
lamp on the end wall nearest the way in. Step on the botton in the floor and then climb the big steps next to the way in.

6. In the right hand wall when facing away from the Spongify challenge. Reached by Alohomora, Scurge.
Diffindo Challenge
7. In an archway in the square lower dungeons, outside the Slytherin common room. Then in the upright wooden beam
in the corner. Reached by Scurge, Lumos, Diffindo.
8. Left hand wall of the short passage leading to the house point ceremony chamber, which is on the upper left of
the entrance hall. Reached by Alohomora, Scurge, Diffindo.
9. Behind the mirror in the right hand corridor from the top of the main stairs. Reached by Diffindo.
10. A button on the ceiling above the balcony in the Gryffindor common room, then in the wall at the top of the
spiral stairs. Then through the left hand wall at the bottom of the spiral stairs. Reached by Flipendo, Diffindo.
Spongify Challenge
11. At the top of the main staircase, on a ledge above you. Reached by Spongify.
12. The left hand wall at the bottom of the stairs leading to the dungeons, which are on the left when facing the
bottom of the main stairs. Reached by Alohomora, Spongify.
Hogwarts Gounds - 8 secrets
1. On the far when facing away from the main door. Behind a section of wall with a stone image on it. Reached by
Alohomora.
2. In the left wall facing the gates to the Quidditch pitch. Opened by unlocking both Hogwarts flags above the
gates. Reached by Alohomora.
3. In the left hand wall just through the door between the main grounds and the greenhouse. Opened by hitting the
stone image above the door. Reached by Flipendo.
Diffindo Challenge.
4. In the wall to the right after passing through the greenhouse. Reached by Diffindo.
5. In the wall opposite the Diffindo Challenge. Reached by Alohomora, Diffindo.
6. After activating the gargoyle in secret 5. Run back up the stairs away from the Diffindo challenge, turn right
at the top and run until you reach the part of the wall on the right which you can pass through. Reached by (Alohomora,
Diffindo in secret 5), Lumos.
Spongify Challenge.
7. Jump on the square gray slab in the floor in secret 6. A panel opens in the far wall, on the right of the main
door when facing it. Reached by (Alohomora, Diffindo in 5, Lumos in 6), Spongify.
8. On a ledge on the right when facing away from the main door. Reached by Spongify.
Grand Staircase - 10 secrets
1. Second floor, down the corridor in the left hand wall at the first turn. Reached by Alohomora.
2. Third floor, just past the first turn, in the left hand wall. Reached by Alohomora.
3. Third floor, outside the Defence against the Dark Arts classroom. The crack in the wall opposite the table.
Reached by Alohomora.
4. Fourth floor, in the infirmary. Hit each of the paintings in the corners of the room. Reached by Flipendo.
5. Fourth floor, just past the landing behind the portrait on the left hand wall. Reached by Alohomora.
6. Inside Dumbledore's study. You will be taken to this area only once in the game, so make sure you get everything
when you have the chance. If you go too close to Fawkes the phoenix you will get a cutscene and be taken from the area, so
be careful where you walk. The secret is opened by casting Flipendo on the stone under the window. Reached by Flipendo.
Spongify Challenge.
7. First floor, In the wall of the corridor outside the Gold Wizard Card challenge (the four bars which move when
you get silver wizard cards). Reached by Spongify.
8. Second floor, past the turn, and just past the doors on either side of the corridor, in the wall on the right.
Reached by Alohomora, Spongify.
9. Fourth floor, past the infirmary in Mme Pomfrey's office. Jump on the tile in the upper floor. Then jump into
the ceiling. Reached by Spongify.
10. Fourth floor, on the landing. There is a spongify mat under the floor, which is opened by cutting the rope behind
the wall on the right. Reached by Alohomora, Scurge, Diffindo, Spongify.
