Diagon Alley is one of those places where the magical are allowed to show their colours, and don't have to hide from prying muggle eyes. This is because the whole of Diagon Alley is already hidden, its strangeness invisible to the outside world. Diagon Alley is home to many of the most famous wizard shops, from Gringotts Bank to Ollivander's, the wand maker. It is in Diagon Alley that Harry Potter and his friends buy all of their school books and robes, and where Hagrid buys Harry's owl Hedwig and Hermione buys her clever cat Crookshanks.
