Harry Potter death

Before the release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, one of the few things J.K. Rowling would say for certain was that by the end of the book one of the main characters would be dead. Speculation erupted on the forums about which of Harry Potter's friends would not live to see the end of his fifth year. Every conceivable victim was suggested and examined, with little or no resolution reached.

With the Order of the Phoenix becoming available on 21st June 2003, the mystery was solved as those fans who bought the book immediately read of Sirius Black's tragic death beneath the Ministry of Magic. With Sirius gone, and nothing known about the sixth book, it is possible the deaths are at an end and the reign of Voldemort will be averted without the loss of any more of the Order of the Phoenix.

However, it is far more likely that the toll will continue to rise and anybody could be next, except for Harry and perhaps Dumbledore. So who could the talented author remove next? Will the trio of Harry, Ron and Hermione be reduced to a duo? Will all of the Weasleys live until the final death of Voldemort? Will Harry himself survive the confrontation which must occur at the climax of the final book? The one person who knows is J.K. Rowling herself, and she's not telling. Harry's
