Hogwarts Houses - The four houses of Hogwarts, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff & Slytherin.

Hufflepuff. House of the just and loyal, patient and hard working

Hufflepuff House

Helga Hufflepuff was loyal, and just. She did not require her students to display a singular courage, cunning or intellect, nor did she distinguish between pure blood and mixed blood wizards. Above all Hufflepuff was fair and that is the one quality, if any, she prized above all others.

Hufflepuff house does not attract fame or glory, and for the most part its students are hard working and honest, not qualities which are cause for celebrity. Perhaps the most notable Hufflepuff of recent years was Cedric Diggory, who not only won the first game of the Quidditch season for Hufflepuff against Gryffindor in Harry's third year, but also represented Hogwarts in the Triwizard Tournament. Cedric died at the hands of Voldemort after he and Harry both grasped

the Triwizard Cup together, having both reached the center of the maze.
