The Malfoy family

One of the old, established wizarding families, as pure blood as they come, the name Malfoy is one of decidedly ill aspect. Lucius Malfoy, head of the Malfoy family, is now and was before a dedicated follower of Voldemort, although it is uncertain if he believes in Voldemort's supremacy and agenda or just seeks power in the Dark Arts. His wife, Narcissa, was once Narcissa Black, Sirius Black's cousin and although Sirius himself had little interest in the Dark Arts, the Black family are or were much like the Malfoys. Lucius and Narcissa's son, Draco Malfoy is Harry's arch rival at Hogwarts and although he lacks his father's knowledge and cold, self assured arrogance, his behaviour under the rule of Dolores Umbridge


shows he is perfectly capable of siding with the enemy.
